    CWD

Has anyone else watched the series about the Mississippi river? Now, I'm not well versed or educated on CWD. But the episode that covers the lower portion of the river made a lot of sense as to why it spread so fast out of Mississippi. There was a lot of animals that couldn't even escape and the...

    Scent Killers and Ozone!!

Just walk in front of a game cam at night and the picture will show you. I went three years without a kill on deer and turkey and figured it was just bad luck. One night I had to fill my feeder later than normal and the cam showed that my fancy hunting shirt was made out of material that glowed...

Day Six Gear, The Line They Won't Cross

I love that post... absolutely the truth. BUT...they won't hear what you're saying. I posted on someone's "reaping" post once and asked them what they were going to do when they destroyed the flock. Their answer "Change to the new way of killing them". Wonder how that's working out for them now...

Confused on this deer what say you

There's a guy around Hartsville that has both Sitka and Fallow. The area hunters kill them frequently. Drove by there last Wednesday and one of the females was across the road on a neighbor.

    Gobblers with muzzleloading shotguns

Mine is modern. The only way I would think that there would be early pressure signs is at the primer/nipple area.

    Gobblers with muzzleloading shotguns

There's not much different that you are going to need. The only big difference is loading powder and installing the wad, pour in shot and install a card over it. I use about a 3/16 cardboard wad and an overshot card that is the thickness of a poster board. I was using a fiber wad and it was...

    Gobblers with muzzleloading shotguns

Muzzleloaders are all I used for years. I have a T/C System One 12 g. I have to order wads and cards since Bass Pro doesn't carry what ordinary people want these days. It definitely is a blast to shoot. I shoot about 2 1/4 oz of 6 shot with 100 grains of FFg.

    dirty little secret

I find it mildly humorous that people pick out one "method" and the majority chimes in and beats it to death. What about the all new hip way of reaping? That has been the WORST right after hunting over corn. Add in not tagging them, because when someone has to kill them that way you know that...

    5.56/.223 for deer opinion

Everyone says "the bigger... the better", I've heard of more lost animals with 7 mags and 300 mags. No matter what you shoot, you still have to aim, hold it and you better have the bullet that does it's job correctly. Too thick of a jacket, might as well shoot a FMJ.

    5.56/.223 for deer opinion

I'll add some fuel here...55 gr. Vmax...they only take a few steps. They don't even know they've been shot. 250 gr. 450 bushmaster...they go farther because they know they've been shot. All are shot in shoulder area.
