My boy is wanting to fish some small club night tournaments this year. We have a pontoon, but the Livewell is really small and does not areate (just fills) Has anyone ever converted a cooler into a Livewell? And do you think a 48 quart would be big enough for 5 bass? Tips or ideas appreciated.

Any tips/ ideas for catching crappie on Center Hill during fall and winter. Never really pursued them, but got several kids eager to fish, and thought this could be good and exciting for them and me. Don’t want honey holes, etc. just point me towards right techniques.

I've never considered hunting them in winter. Didn't think it would be that good, but this sounds like a fun way to take a late season deer hunting break. What is your tactics? Same as now?

Re: Home Defense Oh yes it's been tested. 100 percent effectiveness no, but what is. I seen several people survive gsw that shouldn't have lived. There are 2 things that bad guys usually fear the most, well trained dogs and shotguns. When they both bark there is some fear, may not stop them...

Re: Home Defense Best home defense is the shotgun, especially a pump. Just the sound of the rack will usually get immediate results.

Have an old British .303. Forearm has been trimmed. Gun has a lot of sentimental value. Would love to deer hunt with it some this year, but my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. How hard to mount a decent scope? How much would cost run?

I am hunting a draw hunt at a WMA close to my house. My son asked me a question that got me to wondering. If we kill a bonus buck at the WMA of the morning, would we be able to hunt our place that evening for another antlered deer? I am pretty sure that we would not, but i would like clarification.

Would like to video my kids hunts this year, just more or less for memories. My wife has a cannon rebel eos camera. Have any of you used this type camera? Any tips or pointers or am I just wasting my time?

Re: Buck Activity Very True. I think the best inventory you get of your deer are after season is over and food is scarce. They can be very helpful this time of year, but too many changes are about to occur to base everything on pictures at this point.
