I didn't read all the comments but has anyone mentioned or thought about earn a buck? With a 1 or 2 buck limit. Maybe 1 buck given and have to earn the 2nd, I don't know just an idea.

I'm in Hawkins County as well, if you have acorns dropping that is where you want to be, the bears come and go on my place. Pics of bears and 45 min later deer in the same spot. I would hunt it more at the rut, if you scout hunt it or just run cams for October that might give you enough info...
