I'm very blessed guys. I've got healthy kids, a good wife, and life has been pretty good. We've also had the best year in a few years as far as duck hunting goes.

Feb 4th is the last youth / veteran hunt day in Arkansas and if anybody qualifies and is willing to come I'd like to offer my pit up. I would accompany anyone interested and anybody hunting would have to have a valid license and sign a liability form.

Pit is located outside of Turrell, AR… about an hour ish from Memphis. Flooded rice field. No waders required but recommended. I don't have a dog but I'll provide decoys and pick up ducks. Pretty much just bring your gun and shells.

PM if interested.

Thanks for throwing that one out! If you're not filling it out, please put me on the reserve list for TAFKAP Jr. We may not be able to commit, so bump us to back of the line priority. But he'd be all wound up to go.

Soddy Daisy, yes it's a real place
If my youngest didn't have plans for that day we would've definitely hollered at you. I wouldn't guarantee dead birds falling out of the sky when he pulled the trigger but it would've been a great experience either way. Very nice and generous of you brother and hope a youth gets to have the best hunt ever.

Chris, glad you boys have been wearing them out! This year has been strange, feels like feast or famine just within a mile or two. Season started out dry, hard freeze over Christmas then nothing dramatic to move them in January. We had a few a good days but definitely a bit slower than previous couple years but probably several factors on our end, looking forward to being in rice next year!

We had several things in our favor this year. First year in rice after 5 years being in beans, our field gets pumped but lots of rain so neighboring fields held water, we picked up decoys after every hunt which made for more work but I think it helped. Also we actually spent a day patterning guns with different loads. I feel like this gets overlooked and I was guilty of it for years. Really opened my eyes about some things.

Idk how to direct message on here. I found this thread looking for a day lease for 2/4 it'd be myself and another young Marine veteran. If I'm not too late in asking I'd love to come out 256-655-1915 - Ryan

Also if anyone knows of a good day lease recommendations greatly appreciated
