I picked this up about 50 years ago while hunting for arrowheads with my Boy Scout Troop.
Our Scoutmaster was friends with a farmer that owned a field on Hog Creek in Decatur county.
Found lots of points that day and I found this laying under a rock.
I've hung on to it ever since and found it again going through some of my junk yesterday.

To me, it looks like it may have been worked from a stone that you find in a freshwater drum's head.
It is not rock, but looks to have a shaft and that little barb has a very sharp point.

3/4 inch long and 1/2 inch wide

What say ye TnDeer experts?

Here is the field we got to hunt. They had just been turned and disced up in early spring.
We found boxes of points that day, probably 200 or more.
This would have been around 1972 or so. Not quite as popular as today.
