No, I did not forget to turn a camera back on after swapping SD cards. I forgot to turn on TWO cameras after swapping cards. During peak rut! There's two weeks of critical data I'll never get back. Son of a B____!

It happens every year...
Been there..lol. In addition, had 2 cards crap out on me with the cam on. NEVER by Micro Center SD cards. They will not work for more than a few downloads. Should have gone with "you get what you pay for"...lol

Done it too many times. I've even forgotten where I put cameras , beat that one.
I have to keep an updated map to remember where mine are. I'll count locations in my head and come up one short. Back to the map to figure out where I put that last cam! What makes it worse is how frequently I move mine. I move a couple of cams every week.

I have to keep a note pad in my camera bag to document locations & when batteries changed. Even then I've got one camera from summer that I haven't found yet!

I'm telling you younger guys, it doesn't get any better either .. .😭
I hear you brother!

More like quarterly for me.
At least with cell cams, you realize it in a day or so.

I can top that. I've put a "fresh" card into a camera and formatted it only to realize it was a picture-holding card I had just pulled from another camera!
I swap pockets. When I start the cards are in my left pocket with the keys to my cable locks. As I check cams, I put the cards I pull into my right pocket keys stay in the left.

There have been a few times my cameras have been mysteriously shut off when I have checked them. Weird thing is twice that I can recall, they took pics of me leaving AFTER I changed the card and then no other pics.... No clue how that happens.

I have a hard-case SD card-holder. Blanks are at the back, freshly pulled cards at the front. Or was that the other way around...? And that's how I've accidentally put a freshly pulled card into a different camera.

If the two cameras hadn't been at opposite ends of the property, I would have been suspicious. Plus the fact they were both of my oldest model, which operate a little differently than the newer models. That has to be what happened.

Guess another good thing about the moultrie cams that i have, is that they all show how many pics taken/pics remaining when you set them. But yeah, could see it happening if I wasn't paying attention.
