Not sure if it's a "killer" deal, but might be a nice deal if you're out killin'.

These Muck Boots are on sale at 6PM.com, which is an online shoe place that's been around quite a while. Waterproof, and appear to have a decent fleece lining. Read reviews of them on Amazon, and other than the expected random haters, seems to rate well, and offers the benefit of laces, which might be preferable to just a slip-on.

Amazon has them for about $100 on up.

I wear an 11 1/2 (11.5), and since that's not an option, anticipating the size 12 will be perfect, particularly if I'm adding the right socks.

Shipping was only $3.95. With tax, $61.14 to my door.

Are they insulated?
From what I gather, they are lined, but not so heavily that they give you a rating, like "up to -20". Not finding great pics, but here's some info from the Amazon listing:

  • Imported
  • Rubber sole
  • Shaft measures approximately mid-calf from arch
  • 100% Waterproof
  • Fully lined with 5mm Neoprene for flexibility
  • Fleece lining for warmth
  • Lightweight EVA midsole for added comfort
  • Vibram Arctic Grip outsole for grip on wet ice

My boots came in, and I am quite happy with them. They are lined, and my size 12s fit my size 11.5 feet quite well with thicker socks. You can tell the neoprene lining of the leather uppers isn't going to allow you to snuck up against your legs as well as a non-neo boot, but I don't think it will be any problem. Wore them around the house for a few hours, and they seem to breath well enough to prevent sweaty feet.

Hope to try them on the hunt this week.

Just got mine in. I wear a straight up perfect size 12 med. and ordered them as such. They are not a bit too big. I'd probably size them as 11 3/4 lol!! They were very warm and comfortable to stand in all day. I won't be wearing thick socks with them. Btw I like em so much just ordered some for son who wears an 11 1/2 I ordered 12's.

Received them today and can't quite figure out the tongue situation. I am assuming they were designed to be worn with bibs or pants tucked into them. Been wearing them for about an hour. I am thinking I need to not lace them up so tight. Decent boots, especially considering a $200 list price.

Seems like a deal and I'd be tempted to try them but hate not having the speed lacers up the front. Having to run the shoestring through each lace annoys me. 😬😆
I hear ya about the speed lacers. But, these boots have exceptionally long laces so you will not have to remove the lace from the eyes of the boot.

Have you worn them yet? Wondering how they are warmth wise and weight?
Been wearing them for the last 2 hours. They are comfortable. Just put on a pair of medium weight thermal underwear and tucked them into the boots. This made the upper boot and tongue situation I noted above more bearable and must be the original design; i.e., they are designed to have extra space around the calf area to accommodate pants being tucked in. Not sure, but my initial assessment has me doubting a -20 rating. Weight seems ok. Time will tell about the low temp. capability. Definitely worth the $60 including shipping. These are my first pair of Muck brand boots so I don't really have anything to compare them to.
