Went to move a stand, found him sleeping. Yelled, walked around in the leaves, shook the rope, hit the stand with the rope. Went to truck, got my 22 magnum revolver, shot the tree above the stand, first shot he looked around, like what in the heck is happening? Second shot he froze, like uh oh. I yelled and laid there looking at me for several minutes. He finally got up, stretched and climbed up the tree. He was a big coon.

Muzzleloader in KY. Saw lots of sparring this weekend, passed on a mid 130's buck. Saw about 70 deer in 2 days, didn't even try to count total number of deer and a total of 12 different bucks in 2 days. They were on their feet more in the evenings than the mornings. Hoping a giant will show up, I saw the buck in pic attached, gross in the 170's if not more, late in the season last year, he walked by me behind a doe at 30 yards, as far as I know he wasn't killed. Hope he shows up this year.

Good luck! Hope he steps out for you.

Tomorrow and Wednesday mornings should be on fire here in mid TN. Temps dropping below 30. Pressure spiking above 30. North wind will be blowing slow until mid morning. Being third week of October and a weather front like that, my life will be on hold because I'm gona be in the woods!

WOW! Now that's a surprise for sure. When our house was under construction last year, a small raccoon found my SUMMIT climber in the garage and went to sleep. Had a hard time waking him up and the construction crews all had a laugh!

thank you. There are some great deer where I hunt, just have to get lucky to see one when I can kill it. I have seen 3 deer that would gross in the 170's or better one was a giant and as far as I know none of them were killed, at least not by anyone around us, all very killable, all after I had already tagged a buck.

I would have gave him a permanent dirt nap. I wouldn't want him to think he found a new bed.
I'm surprised I haven't found one on my stands with all the crap they leave behaving.
