Chainsaw carved black bear. Just a hair under 4 feet tall…right at 47" to the top of the ears. This is the first Bear I've carved in over two years. Just had an itch to break out my carving saws this weekend and do something. Carved from sassafras, torched, then finished with 3 coats of spar urethane. They look great on/in cabins, on the porch of your shop, anywhere you want to add a little rustic touch. Feel free to text me at 931-two,six,seven-9114. Located in Baxter/west of Cookeville. Be glad to deliver within 45 mins of Cookeville for a little fuel money. Can also easily meet off of I-40 exit 280. $250.

As long as everything pans out as it should, I think this Bear is sold. I'll not forget to pay my part once the deal is done. This is one of the BEST local classifieds left on the inter webs!

And if anyone else wants one, I'd be glad to do it. Just shoot me a text or PM. No two ever come just alike. But Ive got a pretty good pile of logs here to carve on.

That's awesome my friend. Would look great in the entry hall of my cabin, but fortunately there are no bears on the west side so it would feel out of place.
What grows on the west side that you'd like a carving of? I might could make it happen! 😉 Morels? Pumpkins? Acorns? Jackolanterns?

That acorn is awesome. Cept I got a yard full of black walnut trees 😡
That acorn is carved from soft maple actually 🤫. It was a blow down piece in the 2020 tornado and the buyer really appreciated having something nice from all the destruction. That missed my house by less than a quarter mile before it touched down and destroyed this end of the county. We got a cleanup job to salvage what timber was left there. That piece of maple came from right there, in the eye of the storm.
