Ive got a few places like this and I stopped mowing or bush hogging 25ft from the fences. In a very short time it blocked the view and they had bedding, fawning cover and natural food for free.

Agree....Old field growth can be beneficial for multiple reasons....to speed up the process spray and try to eradicate any fescue pasture grass...then let the natural seed bank go.... numerous benefits.

I use to farm for deer. It was great and fun, but when I stopped mowing and let it grow it was and still is amazing.

This is a nonnative invasive that keeps native species from growing around it. It also spreads easily by seed dispersal. I would stay away from this suggestion unless you want it growing all in your field.

Poison ivy is actually a preferred deer browse. They love it!
