What are your favorite sources for buying treestands? I'm trying to put together a "favorites" list of companies that sell treestands (especially ladder stands), so I can quickly check prices between retailers.

All I have currently is:

Bass Pro/Cabelas
D*ck's Sporting Goods
Academy Sports
Sportman's Guide
Sportman's Warehouse
Tractor Supply
MidwayUSA

Recommendations for others?

I'd add Rural King to the list, their prices are pretty good and they'll occasionally have a sale too.
I'll second Rural King. Only problem is, the closest one is in Clarksville. My favorite store of all. Knoxville has 3 or 4 of them and I go to them when I go to see the in-laws. I still wonder why a place like Dickson doesn't have one. I requested it on their website.

They have a store in Crossville now too, but that probably doesn't help you.

Hadn't thought about Co-op, but they do carry a lot of stands.

Never heard of Dunhams, but I'll look them up.
Don't know about other areas, but my local Co-Op here in Greene County stopped selling all hunting supplies, including stands about three years ago. When they put everything on clearance, I went in and bought Big Dog 21' double rail ladder stands for $125 each. I bought every one they had left, including their display model. They had a ton of other stuff as well and I racked up a lot of savings.

As others mentioned above, most Rural King locations put their stands on clearance at about the time muzzleloader ends and rifle season begins, or shortly afterwards. When the Rural King in Morristown, Tennessee had their grand opening around 5 years ago, I got five (5) Big Game Titan XL 18.5' 1.5 man stands for $85 each. Those stands have been great and are the most comfortable treestand I have ever sat in. They have the adjustable tension mesh seats similar to Millenium stands only much more comfortable. The shooting rail can be raised back against the tree for bowhunting, or it can be removed altogether. https://www.ruralking.com/big-game-titan-xl-18-foot-x-16-inch-ladderstand

I like the looks of those Big Game stands. They look very similar to the Muddy Hunter Deluxe 1.5 stands. I've become a HUGE fan of those. They are a touch more expensive than the Big Game's but have that lumbar support in the back-rest that is nice. But the two brands look so similar I wonder if they aren't manufactured by the same group.

Years ago, I would buy those cheap one-person ladders Bass Pro used to sell for around $60 during their Fall Classic. At the time, they were fine, and I think I had 10+ of them. But with no arm rests and no shooting rail and just a metal seat, they're getting a bit sketchy for us old men! I'm slowly trying to replace them all with the Muddy/Big Game style stands that are more comfortable and far safer.

We have been doing the same past 3-4 years and just about have all of the old basics upgraded. Have a few of the Titan XL's and they are the most comfortable single ladders I've ever hunted in. We've got quite a few youth so have been focused on buying nice double ladders to upgrade with.
I've taken the old basics & added another ladder section to them and placed on plots for bow stands. Some plots now have 2-3 on them for diff wind setups. Somebody on here posted a link the other day for a Millennium tree seat at Academy for $57. I ordered one plan on using it when hunting the basic bow setups.

Back when we took our first youth hunters hunting, we bought a couple of the 2-person ladders. We found them so comfortable to hunt from as a single hunter (space to stand up and stretch a bit) and the ability to easily wrap burlap around the shooting rails, that 2-person ladders were all we bought for the next 10 years. We have over 20 of them up. They are super-comfortable to hunt from. But taking them down and putting them up is a bear. So now we're back to buying the really comfortable 1.5 single-person ladders.
