Well guys it's been too long since I've posted on here but I heard something today that I'm hoping some of y'all fine folks can help me out with.
My wife is a photographer and was taking some pictures on this couples grandfather's land. The grandfather was asking about me and when he realized who I was he told my wife a story about my grandfather.
My grandfather loved trapping. He was a trapper then fisher then an occasional hunter. This man told my wife that years ago my grandfather trapped a bobcat that was large enough to be qualified as the Tennessee state record trapped bobcat. He said it was displayed in the Tennessee State Museum. He didn't mention a year but my grandfather has been dead for about 5 years now and would have done most of his trapping in the 70s through the 90s. Maybe a little in the early 2000s. Maybe a little in the 60s.
Does anyone know of where some of these records may be found? Is there any website that might document this? Anyone heard of this before? My grandfather's name was Burton Moulder. I have never heard this story until today but many people knew my grandfather since he was the sherrif of Cannon county and lots of people will tell me random stories I've never heard about him.
Thanks guys for any help!
