Wouldn't hurt to pull it out in the hole before you burnt it. Of course that would take more effort. What's the go-to method other than burning to get rid of an old blind?
Interesting it let you put in for it.Dang I wish I could change my application now and lower that one on my list.
Well I just assumed it was one that it allowed you to put in for on the yearling application. I wasn't sure if it was a year long blind or a weekend blind.Interesting it let you put in for it.
Yes that does look like a nightmare. Heard the company that got the bid to build the blinds is from East Tennessee and has never even been to the bottoms. They don't know what they are getting in to.Wasn't A4 in good enough shape as well?! Seen people saying it was. Maybe needed new floor
Look at that picture there. Wouldn't it been easier to replaced a floor instead of a whole blind. Looks like a nightmare to build a blind in
Completely ridiculous. Oh and how bout TWRA deciding not to build blinds at all of the ones they made quota hunts. Decided that was going to be to much money and they are using they existing blinds that WE built that are still in good enough shape.
The group I am in has rebuilt half the blinds in those bottoms. I if a blind needs a total rebuild we take it apart in pices, load it in boats and take it to a high spot to burn it. Or a few we have taken everything out and loaded on trailers and dumped it in a off site location. If private people can do that surely the state has enough resources to do it.What's the go-to method other than burning to get rid of an old blind?
A4 was built new 5 years ago with all new treatmented lumber. All it needed was the plywood floor replaced and would be good for several more seasons. $500 in flooring would have been good. But now they will spend $30,000 to replace it with a blind with no cover to hide it.Wasn't A4 in good enough shape as well?! Seen people saying it was. Maybe needed new floor

Not on the website, but I was told that is what TWRA has said. I'd say it's spot on or else they would have went ahead and burnt the rest of the blinds they took at Tigrett and not only A4.Where did you get that information? Was it on the TWRA website or just rumor? Just curious.

Because they did....Just curious, but how do you know it was TWRA that torched this?

So you think they are going to actually burn every perfectly good blind that is now tier 2 and build them all before season like they said?Ok. Just a rumor.
