Are they going to be built solid (on poles) or will they be floaters?

have to be poles, some couldn't be accessed with a floater, without an amphibious trackhoe. Or, maybe both. who knows?
They have a sample of what they will look like. There are pictures of it shown around 3 hour 24 min mark of the video of this commission meeting. All metal construction, with trex instead of wood. Will be built on metal poles.

Didn't see any provision for a dog box.
That's because its just like every single part of this whole blind grab.
Zero thought of anything except giving one commissioner what he wanted.
He didn't have a dog so screw everyone that does.
They might add them though. Wouldn't bring the cost of each blind up but about $12,000
It must be able to assemble in sections. I still don't see how they will get them to some locations, and they will have to be built high to handle rises in water levels. Wonder if TWRA will be doing all the assembly, or if contracted out. They better have some feet on those support poles, or either some LONG poles in that mud at Tigrett.
I suspect they'll wash a hole in with a pressure washer and set them in concrete. But they're still gonna have to have some long poles.
I bet they don't even freaking know the water levels change.
I mean we built the levee's around those places, isn't that all you gotta do???
Oh and I am pretty sure the construction will be contracted out.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is a relative of a member of the TWRC or whatever they call themselves now either.
I know I wouldn't wanna be sitting in a metal blind some day when a thunderstorm blows thru lol

Not counting, I believe they said, $2,000 per to brush them?

All I know is apparently I'm going to have to devote some serious time to figuring out the process in the next couple months. I've tried to keep up as best I could as the process has gone along but hell fire it's a lot of changes. Nothing like a duck blind draw you've got to study for...

I just wish TWRA would make their website more user-friendly.
I almost just said, "forget it", while spending a half-hour trying to find the link for checking in a turkey. Big-game check-in should have a link on the very first page during turkey & deer seasons.
And no, I do not want to just use my smart phone after downloading the TWRA app, and everyone doesn't have a smart phone anyway.
Then, this morning, I cannot find the link to buy an agency lake permit to take a friend fishing.
