Has anyone tried to attach a Rib Mount to a Tristar NWTF Upland Hunter O/U?? I can't find a base plate thin enough to go under the rib of my 20 gauge so that I could attach a red dot. So I had to attach a set of Williams FireSights.

I haven not. Have you looked at the Meadow Creek Rib Mounts? I do not own one, but I know a couple of very serious turkey hunters who have used them and say they hold up, hold zero, etc, as long as you don't beat and abuse the gun. Food for thought.

That's the Mount that I tried to attach. I have the Meadow Creek Rib Mounts on my other turkey guns but the clearance on this Tristar is more narrow.

Do you like the meadow creek mounts? I thought about trying them but wondered if maybe they placed the red dot too far away from the eye.

I have the Meadow creek Rib Mounts on 3 different turkey guns and love them. As all of my electronic sights are zero magnification the distance from your eye is of no consequence.

Thanks. By the way I saw on their facebook page they have some thinner plates now that might work on your o/u gun.
