No way I'd put a savage plug in an aftermarket barrel. Much better technology out there. But arrowhead would get you squared away.

LOL Luke does good work! At the time I had my gun built he was about the only game in town and at that time, pretty reasonable. I think I ended up with about 800 bucks in the Rem 700MZ conversion.
The appeal with using him too was that I could box up my barreled action, send it to him, and in a couple weeks it was back to my doorstep ready to go.

I would say that it was shot with the ramrod in the barrel.
I have been there and done that.:)
I had an SS barrel and it was $400 for Savage to replace it over 15 years ago.
If I still had a Savage now, I would upgrade the barrel for sure.

Because he has the best price atm and its not 1yr or more on builds. Plus i dont think the "other guy" even carries MLII barrels anymore. He is far more interested in selling HIS system in Rem or Savage CF rifles. LRMP really offers very little over 209 in a MLII. The ASG 209 rear sealing plug would be a nice upgrade vs stock and his Pacnor barrels are already machined for that plug.
