I'm on the road right now but my taxidermist charges $160 for skinning, prep and he sends it off for a soft tan. He has some in his studio on show. Charges $160. Will find his name and number when I get home you're interested.

Save yourself a lot of money and skin it and flesh it yourself then send it to a tannery. I don't mean to come across like a know it all, but I've put up fur for a long time now and a fox is one of the easiest animals to skin and finish out there is not a lot of fat on one . There is several videos on how to do it if you have any questions you can shoot me a p.m . As far as tannery I know of 3 good ones that range from $30.00 to $22.00 to tan a fox pelt .

Trapper's way would be the way to go if you are taking any amount of fur 👍. For just my one fox and bobcat I decided to pay and let an "expert" do it for me. I didn't want to screw it up. If I were taking more than one, I would definitely learn how to skin, flesh, split the tail and salt the hide myself then send it to a tanner 👍:).
