About 40 members of The Hutchins Family came to Chattanooga from the 4 points of the globe for a family reunion. Thankfully, some of them (or a bunch of them), wanted to go fishing with me. They had literally taken over Island Cove Marina so on Day One (Saturday), we fished on the lake. First round was Harvey, son Peter and grandson Brandon. We caught a mess of little bluegill and Brandon go kind of bored with that pretty quick so we switched to cats.

We didn't catch quantity, but Brandon got to reel in a 28-pounder. He enjoyed the reeling, but he sure wasn't going to touch it.

After a few hours it was back to Island Cove and swap out for Bo, Chesley and Rick. Rick scored first with a nice 20-pound blue.

But Bo and Chesley got in on the act as well. All together I think we had eight cats that were just shy of 100 lbs. total.

Today (Sunday) I headed below the Dam with Peter and Shane.

Sadly the big fish eluded me today, But we had pretty good numbers and several quality fish. And as Shane said, "That's the most, and the biggest catfish I've ever caught!"

And of course, that means life is good and gettin' better every day.
