I wanted to keep my xlr open sights (wet weather gun), unless I could find a red dot small enough to not take over my rifle and get in the way. Plus my eyes arn't that great. Well I just got my new Midway catalog. Looky here Aimpoints new super compact, light weight red dot weaver type mount, with 13 brightness settings. I might have to rethink my sights. Matte finish 4 moa $521+change, yikes, or silver $539. With only one mount I can put my red dot way forward on my barrel (cool). I think the silver would look really good on my Marlin xlr stainless but I think the 6 moa is to big of a dot. Any thoughts or suggestions?
