I've never owned a squirrel dog and just curious what makes a good one. I've got a mix breed now that I've been working with some and looks as if he's got potential. He trees by sight and will follow the bushytail from one tree to the next baying along the way. I'm gonna give him a go this yr. He's heyal on rabbits too but he may be a little fast for them. Btw, he's mixed with beagle, jack russel, mountain cur, wirehaired terrier.
