Food savers/vacuums, the vacuum bagging system alot of us have works great. Just put matches, first aid supplies etc. in a bag or bags cut to fit your backpack. Vacuum away. They don't rattle, they fit into whatever area you had custom cut for them. And they are waterproof. If you open them up, you can always re-seal them later. Don't forget to mark the date like you do food so you can rotate stock when needed. Toilet paper shrinks up real small also.
