I put the calipers to a M1 .30 carbine bullet the other day and got .304 dia. I was right up against the case, but I can only find .30 cal bullets that are listed at .309 dia. Is it likely that the bullet was seated past the diameter and starting over the tangent point of where the diameter and cone start, thus giving me a slightly smaller reading, or should I still be looking for .304 dia bullets? |
Thanks for any advice in advance.
