Headed out this morning to give it a go. Flooding kept me from hunting a majority of my spots in the area but could still hunt 3 sets. First set just drew the attention of the hawks. Second set is a long hike into a little field surrounded by thick woods. The little bit of snow left let me know they had been wearing it out. Got a nice little spot you can tuck up in the cedars overlooking the field. Old road comes in from behind and enters at the half way point.

Less than 2 min into chicken distress he came out from the road. He immediately locked on the decoy and came charging in. One quick shot from the 204 rolled him on over. Kept calling for another 15 min and nothing showed up. Walked over to get him and had one barking at me from on in the brush. 3rd set was a bust and the wind started howling.
