As the last afternoon hunt is winding down and my boys and my daughter are growing up way too fast, this is the first deer season in 15 years that I have hunted exclusively by myself. Didn't have a youngster sitting beside me in the deer stand not once this season. I sure do miss those days. I am thankful that God trusted me enough to have the opportunity to teach them this great life and the love of the outdoors. I hope they have as many great memories instilled in their minds as I have. By the way Cody (my 18 yr old) just sent me a text from the other side of the farm saying he's got a doe on the ground. Good luck to all.
There's no normal life, just life. Get on with it.
