After a grueling 3 months, I can honestly say I'm glad it's over. This evening's kill makes #3 for the year. I was a little upset when I discovered the doe was actually a button buck, but he'll eat good and I'm very thankful. I was blessed to make the shot. Yesterday I dropped my rifle while rolling backward down the ramp from my elevated box blind. I didn't think it hit hard, but I should have checked it today. First shot was a miss while he had his head down. He raised his head and was looking around and the 2nd shot hit in the neck. I was aiming for the shoulder! 240 yards shot. TC Encore 30.06. 150gr Federal Fusion.
