Took a couple of deer hearts and some backstrap to my chef friend at Slider Inn. His face lit up in a big smile and he said time for me to get busy. I thought he was going to take them home and as my wife and I sat having a beer, he came out of the kitchen and said don't be in a hurry to leave, I'm bring you out a couple of platters of food. A beer later and he brings out some Panko battered deer heart that he had deep fried along with an artichoke heart salad. It was much so that my wife was fighting me over the last bite. LoL

Just as we finished that course, he walks out with a platter of blue cheese stuffed seared backstrap with carmalized onions and sauteed mushrooms. Once again...absolutely delicious. I never would have thought to mate blue cheese with venision but the combo was fantastic. Didn't get a pic of the backstrap, but did get a pic of the deer heart.

Poser...Jayne came in just as we were leaving...too bad you didn't make it. \:D \:D
