I got on stand at about 145 this afternoon. Sat and seen nothing but squirrels. I am hunting a 100 yard stretch of timber that is between a bedding area and a big field that is a feeding area. It has a dry creek bed about 4 feet deep running the length of it. At 415 I looked up and the best buck I have killed was coming across the creek bed. 50 yards broadside with 700 Remington 7mag shooting 150grain Scirocco. He never took a step.
