I had a nice buck come into the field this morning and stopped at 140 yards. Just as I was about tho squeeze the trigger he takes off after a small buck, then turns and chases the momma doe out of the field. If he had stay put a split second longer, I would have shot. Oh well, maybe he'll show back out there this evening. Saw 2 spikes running around with their noses on the ground and neck stuck out. The heat is on!!!
