I have come into this GPR from a friend in North Alabama who took it in on a trade. According to the proof marks it was manufactured in 1980. Overall the gun is in pretty good shape and looks like the previous owner hardly used it.
I took it to the range to try her out and was pleasantly surprised. It sparked well and ignition was fast. While the sights need to be tweaked a little, I still managed to keep all six shots in the black at 50 yds shooting standing offhand. Below is the target. The two shots to the left were called and the other four made a neat little cluster 1 3/8" center to center. I was impressed and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to someone wanting to break into flint rifle shooting.
