1952 Model M IH Farmall

Nobody here knows me or where I'm from more than likely but I am from Union County in East TN. For those of you that are familiar with good ol Union Co you know that we have a pretty good music heritage. Roy Acuff, Kenny Chesney(even though he don't claim it and I personally could care less), not to mention a few more well knowns and an abundance of not so well knowns. Sharps Chapel Tn which is a portion of Union Co where most of you know Chuck Swan Mgmt Area is located, was also home to a man by the name of Palmer "Bit" Rouse. He was well known throughout the area for his country store, his sawmill, and his fiddle playing. Many years back( not sure exactly how many) he was involved in a farming accident and lost his right hand. Once he recovered he went back to fiddling. He was able to play by hooking the bow on his right stump and man could he play. He was well known as "The one armed fiddler". Bit was regularly involved in music night at Old Rush Strong School which is located in Chapel as well. It is sadly also the place he died. My stepdad and all of his brothers grew up just down the road and would help Bit work on the farm and the sawmill and my dad used this tractor when he was young many days. He just purchased the tractor a few weeks ago from a family member of Bits. It now resides at our home and is the early early stages of restoration. Now myself, I am a green and yellow man but since this tractor has special meaning to my dad I have allowed it to come here. \:\) I love old tractors and antiques in general and like working on them. Even though it's not a Deere I will have it shining like a new penny some day. Heck I'm a sucker for shiny red paint. If I can think to I will keep a picture record and post it up every now and then. If there are any resident Farmall enthusiasts here or if you own one post it up. Thanks for reading.
