I like my deer stand (thanks again bowriter!) but I don't always want to lug it around in an area that I am not familiar with. My younger brother installs sunrooms and builds decks. I helped on his latest project and as we were talking the idea came to me. I grabbed a piece of 5/4 scrap and aluminum. Cut it to lengths that I liked and slapped it together.
Intial build was a little too tall

Finished product. I added padding to the seat and wrapped that in burlap. Used a base coat of brown and then threw a piece of burlap over the metal and alternated between green and tan. I also added eye bolts to the ends of the seat for a carrying strap.
