Jones shifted to the UFC 152 card after Dan Henderson pulled out of this weekend's canceled UFC 151 event. That set off a chain reaction in which Chael Sonnen was tapped a replacement, though Jones turned down the fight. Jones then was slated to fight Lyoto Machida at UFC 152, but Machida then turned down the fight. That opened the door for middleweight fighter Belfort, who hasn't fought at light heavyweight in five years, to step up for a surprise title shot in his former weight class.
