This 4 point came by me saturday morning about 8 in the morning. I was trying to get a shot on the doe behind him so I called my brother who was setup about a half a mile behind me in a growed up field that the deer use to get up to the acorn flat where I was sitting and told him to keep an eye out for him! I get a txt about 20 minutes later and he said he smoked him at 4 yards from the stand!!! Well it turns out that something went wrong with the rage and the deer didn't hardly bleed a drop. So I get a call at 11 and David said I can't find this deer but I know I put a good shot on him. So we worked up a plan that I would work down the field to him and see if I could find his buck. I finally spotted the deer but he was still alive! So I got to about ten yards from him and put another one in him to seal the deal! He got up and ran 20 yards and crashed! Turns out he was quartering a little when he shot him and the arrow exited a little far back but I still couldn't believe that he had stayed alive for almost 3 hours! I mean we have gut shot deer before and most of them have run about 100 yards and died but this one didn't! I'm just glad we found him!
Even though I didn't get the doe it still turned out to be an awesome morning hunting with my brother!
