Ive been scouting some recently, and haven't found many acorns, but I have found two locations that have some rubs. One place is in a creek bottom coming out of a long winding thicket. There is a rub line made up of just a few small diameter trees coming out of the thicket.

The other location has quite a few rubs that seem to have been made with some determination, all of which are concentrated in a fifty yard stretch. Some are saplings, a couple are small cedars, and a few, pecil-like saplings have been shredded and broken in half.

Do these rubs offer any information, besides that there are bucks in the area with rising testosterone? Are bucks of all ages just as likely to rub early on? Are early season rub lines good areas to hunt?
