I began seeing more deer when I learned how to stalk, i.e. walk a few feet, stop, and survey the entire woods around me. I saw even MORE deer when I learned to plan for more than one route to any given location determined by the wind. I began KILLING deer when I learned to take risks, sometimes believing in my gut instinct, and moving to a new location in the middle of a hunt - spotting and stalking my way there with great attention to the wind.
