Came across a good tip yesterday on the Excalibur forum. After walking/hiking and climbing up into or with your stand you will normally be somewhat sweaty and dressed in layers. Before you put on these layers, take an old thick cotton T shirt and cut it inside the sleeves through the armpit and down the sides.
Pull this shirt off over your head before it turns cold and freeze's you.Credit Saxman with this tip.

enlighten me here.
so you put this cut tshirt on UNDER all your layers?
then pull it off at stand and dress back?
won't that leave ya a bit 'exposed' for a brief time?

Dear Doe, if you cut the T shirt down the sides and the bottom of each sleeve to connect to each side cut, you won't have to take any thing else off as you grab it around the back of your neck and pull it off. You must put it on first thing and with no bra.

So what do you do with the sweaty shirt once you take it off? You're still gonna have it with you.

I read that trick on here somewhere before. I tried it this past season and it works very well!! Take along a gallon ziploc bag and you have a scent-free place to store sweaty shirt.

I often just wear my base layer to stand ,then get dressed at the tree. I carry my coveralls boot blankets and other heavy clotheing in an army sack. Lots of trouble but helps.
