Was last Thursday when you sighted in , or last practice session ? If you just sighted it in , it would be good to get out there and make sure it's on the money .
If you just got it out and started shooting it last week ,then you should have a daily practice routine until you build consistency .

Shoot it with the flood lights, you owe it to the animal and yourself(insert image of P&Y typical walking up and you missing 8 inches high) \:\(

If you are questioning to see if you are perpared for a bow hunt, then you probably aren't.
I can't imagine not shooting on a regular basis for weeks using the same set-up on targets at various ranges.
Do you have a rangefinder, and have you set your pins?

whoa whoa whoa! ive been target shooting for months now..."im" prepared for the hunt, i was just asking -if the last target session i had was last thursday, should i try to target shoot again tonite in the dark before the hunt or are the sights on the bow normally on target unless i knocked it when ive transported it to/from the woods...in other words-- do yall practice to check your sights before every hunt...

OK. I misunderstood.
Unless it was hit, you should be good to go.
I shot a few arrows on Tuesday afternoon, and put my bow in the case in my truck, until I took it out to hunt on Saturday.

If you have good solid sights, and are dialed in, the bow it fine.
You may want to shoot a few tonight to get your confidence where it should be if you are worried at all about it.

good luck.

thanks! i think taking a couple of shots from the garge to a 20yd target my build my confidence for sure... otherwise, i havent bumped it (knowingly) so they should still be fine... this hunt was very sudden and of course i want to go, i just hated that i couldnt sight-check this evening is all... btw i use muzzy's 3 blade and ive shot them several times into a foam target, but ive sharpened them w/ my knife sharpner... that should be fine shouldnt it? id run the blade on the bottom of my tshirt and it would slit it w/ very little effort...

No Cecil, I'm not mocking you.

I wrote that BEFORE I read you're other post.

Then I felt bad.

Don't worry, it will happen to everyone eventually, maybe not 4 times at once , but it will happen.

Heck shoot its fun anyway. I wouldn't worry though. as long as you didn't drop the bow or fall with it you should be ok.

You should be fine to go, as long as you have enough history with your bow to know that the sights are secure. The sights on my bow have been rock solid through many treks in the woods as well as the ups and downs of tree stand gear cords.

Good luck, and wear that belt!!

10-4 , when you posted "sighted in" last Thursday , I think that threw us off . You should be alright , but it's good to practice to keep your muscle memory/ form and maintain consistency . Many guys quit practicing during the season , and that's not good .
