I tried a quick search on these broadheads in the forum and didn't find much. Has anyone used them?

Bass Pro and Wal-Mart both carry them. I'm using them for the first time but I was hoping to find a little feedback.

They would worry me a little about penetration/flight with the curved blades. Ive never used them.

I have shot them. they flew well for me.
But i never had used them while hunting.

Last year. A friend of mine gut shot a doe on our farm. On tracking the deer i came across his arrow. He was using a aftermarket expandable broadhead. This wasnt the heads fault, and bad shot was issue. Never found her

But i looked at the broadhead on the way home and didnt like the way it was built.

I gave him the pack of Crimson Talon to use that afternoon. We shot them before heading back out to make sure they were flying where they needed to be.

That afternoon he shot a 6 pointer. Double lung. Massive hole. But all broadheads work well when the shot placement is correct.

As for the blades. They came out with thicker one due to the curve. To make them stronger. They have XT on the package.

I shot a doe yesterday 23 yrds., dbl lung from 16 ft. stand.
She went all of 25 yrds from point of impact.

No problem with flight, she rolled and broke the shaft. I recovered the broadhead on opposite side at the 3rd rib and it was bent and the blades were twisted.

I felt like it should have held up better.

Just my opinion.

I killed my first buck with the crimson talons. Unfortunately, I gut shot him, but they worked well with a big entrance and exit hole and he only went about 100 yrds before he went down for good. I switched shortly after cause i was constantly bending the blades when I would practice with them. They did fly well, too.
