When you hunt a long way from your vehicle and you want to go lite here is what I do. Wally world sells these almost wieghtless fleece blankets in camo patterns. I roll mine up and put it in my pack and when I get in my tree or blind I just wrap my legs and feet in it. Not near as bulky as a pair of bibs or coveralls, works great.

Last year I tried something that seemed sumb to me. I took a sleeping bag with me to my ladder stand. Once there, I unzipped the sleeping bag and got in it and pulled it to my waist and zipped it up. I was rather surprised how much it helped.

I have an old sleeping bag I've carried with me a few times and done the same thing. I've even used it to lay down on the snow covered ground on a terrace.

I had my Mom stitch a couple of cheap camo fleece blankets from Walgreens and make a sack out of them. Warm and alot easier to pack than a sleeping bag, but if I had a big enough stand you'd find me with a sleeping bag everytime.
