I've been fishing a bass trail this summer on Loudon, Douglas, and Cherokee, and our classic was last night on Douglas. Most of the tournaments have been slow lately taking 6 or 7 pounds in a 3 fish limit to win. My partner and I placed second with 6.48 and took home a dandy little check. It's been a tough summer for fishing...

I've always watned to get into some bass tournaments, but I know there's always a horsepower regulation [minimum] and you can't troll...both of how I do very very well fishing for bass in the summertime especially [gotta get those speeds up...8mph + at times down on the 15 ft plus breaklines]. Why are both those regulations in effect? And are there ANY bass trails in American where a guy can fishing trolling out of a tiller mounted 25 hp 15'6" fiberglass?

Tubs-Most of the motor restrictions are safety based. I think all tournaments require a kill switch. I was told the reason for the no trolling is also safety and courtesy. Walleye tournaments allow trolling.
