Anyone heard if the trout are doing anything below Dale Hollow.

The best fishing below Dale Hollow is at night when there is no generation fishing off of the retaining wall directly below the dam. I always use a 1/4 oz bell weight tied to the end of my 6 lb. line with one small gold hook (not an egg hook) tied 6 inches above the weight then another gold hook tied 6 inches above that hook. I use corn for bait. Cast out as far as you can. Make sure to keep a tight line.
I also have a landing net rigged up that I lower down the wall to bring up the bigger fish. You will catch plenty of fish with some being 14"-16" size. Most will be 11"-13".

Oh I forgot to mention they stock the little creek at the campground every Friday. These are small stocker trout. You can walk behind the hatchery and catch these trout too during the day but they are really small. The ones that don't get caught eventually end up in the Obey.

That could've been a state record fish.

I was kind thinking that too after coming home and trying to figure out what it was but I think the record is around 11 lbs. When I first caught it, I thought it was a carp.
