So I ruined the wife's (our camera) on the Atlantic Salmon trip in August. Had to buy two new ones, I got myself the W60 and her a replacement with a water proof housing.....
Took one of the noobs fishing with me. The sad part is this river is in free fall. The spot I fished over the last two years mostly put up numbers above 50 a day. When I started fishing here regularly I could mostly expect fish over 14-15 inches, not anymore.....
But check this stuff out! I still have a lot to learn about the camera and need to get a head mount device for video. I have another video of the largest fish jumping, but it is too big for photobucket.
I am still waiting on the wetsuit. I'll post some underwater swim reports soon enough....

Second time this guy has flyfished....he only got two...tough day.

I love when the guys in Florida do this. I know guides are watching...

Great pics. and video. 2 things I learned...
Usually, you should use the flash underwater, even if it's in sunlight. Unless you just want the mysterious dark silouette look.
Even though it's cool looking at the rocks and moss in the background, I also like a few pics. with the water's surface as the background (looking up). Hard to do this without holding the fish in place with the line attached to the fly attached to the mouth.
I hadn't heard of a head mount device. If you find one, please post. I wish I had thought of that before setting a tripod up in my boat and trying to aim it wher I "think" I'm going to get a vite.

This is awesome Scrubs. It has been such a shock for me to fish in clear water for fish that are receptive to it...back home in the clear LAKES musky and bass and walleye in waters that clear would hardly show themselves above 15 ft except during the spawn, and mostly far deeper. To go after big beautiful fish in an environment you can VISUALLY interact with as well is astouding. I know we've had our animosity in the past, but if you've got the equipment..I've got a proposition for you. Something that would be worthy of your motivation and tenacity to document LARGE [hint hint] middle TN fish in their natural habitats in clear water. Interested?...

BTW, man, great GREAT rainbow. I talked to BD the other day at Betty's and he said he had a 24" rainbow. Man, that's a gorgeous fish. Yeah, I know what you're talking about with the Florida guys....they'll slit your throat down here. And GOD fishing off the piers between the casters and the boaters is a nightmare...2 am, Rodney or I hook up with a big snook or red, and suddenly you have 20 new best friends...its a mess.
