If you launch at Sandy Chapel ramp off Cairo Bend Rd N and follow that little piece out to where it opens up into the river...while sitting still facing westward into the river, look at about your 1 o'clock. You will see some wood sticking up out of the water.

If I hit that spot around 7:30AM or about an hour before dark, I catch a ton. Not necessarily a fish I go after, but if I'm getting skunked on LM I'll run up there just to say I caught something.

Limited success in general or specifically the spot I mentioned? I've had quite a bit of success there for stripe, BUT that's the only spot on OH I've had success for stripe. Only other place I've caught good stripe is about 10' from the No Wake buoys at the 7 Points ramp on JPP.

At the Davis Corner ramp about 150 yards WNW from the ramp 10-20' from that bank I've caught a number of small yellow bass fishing for bream. I don't think that's what you're after though.
The Lebanon and SE Gallatin portion of OH has been tough on me this year.

I keep saying that now that I have a new boat with a nice trailer for it to travel on I will venture out to more water. With martial arts with my son 2 nights a week, Den leader for Scouts, Work and other asundry things it's hard to get off work and get somewhere else before dark.
