According to an email I just received, the lake trout are holding in droves on top of rock piles in the big, nameless lake on the tundra in Quebec/Labrador. I heard, using a 7-spot, they caught 110 in 90 minutes with a 6-pound average.
And Tubs wasn't even there to give advice.
They also killed 14 nice caribou.

If you know how cast a 7-spot, that is no big deal. We use to bet on it. The goal was to wrap the line in the anlters. Then, using no more than 8-lb test, you had to sweep the rod and break their neck.
When it went to flyrods only, I quit. I mean, he11, look at the way those guys dress. They all get their hats at the same place and they won't tip the bearded waitress in Schefferville. It has just gone to he11.
BONK use to mean something. Now you smack a bou with some dam feather duster fly and it goes swish. And to make it even worse, there is a kid up there, resembles a fireplug, and he is telling the natives how get more social insurance money.
