Trying to locate a shop in or around Knoxville so I can get a different rest and get it tuned. Also need a d-loop. Hoping to find a place where I can get it done that day to limit trips and gas expense.

leader, I've already talked with John. Love them to death, but there's a waiting list. I live 40 miles one way from there, don't really wanna put 160 miles on my truck and have the gas expense to have a rest installed, tuned, and a d-loop put on.

bsl,

I'm sorry that you think our service has gone down hill. Unfortunately at this time of year too many people are just starting to get their equipment out. We are open 12 months of the year and there are many months when we are not backed up and can easily do things while the customer is here. 75% of our business happens in 3 months of the year.

Yes, we could add to staff those 3 months, but we're not going to bring in people who don't know what they're doing. We want what comes into the shop to go out as best as we can do. (No we're not always perfect.) We've seen more than our share of equipment come in that was hastley set up someplace and has to be completely re-done.

We've also gotten a number of calls from people who are looking for info because some the the places that are open 7 days a week with long hours have given them information that they didn't think seemed right. (The guy at --- said I could shoot any arrow out of my bow; that the numbers on the arrow didn't make any difference. Or "there's no difference in arrow grades")

We do the best that we can with our limited staffing. If that means that we can't drop the customer we're working with because "gee, you mean you can't refletch my dozen arrows while I wait" then so be it.

Knowing that this is the busiest time of year for the archery industry, you might also want to ask yourself why someplace can always do what you want done with no waiting. Food for thought!

I agree . Keep up the good work . I have seen a local bow shop go down hill because they hired unqualified help . It is more important to have a bow setup right and wait a day or two to pick it up than a rush job from someone who is helping out part time during the busy season .
