A stock rhino can't follow the stock rangers when the goin gets tough! Not just opinion, seen it many of times!! Can't haul or tow as much either, and did I mention not as fast also!! The rhinos do look a little better and bucket seats are nice( if you only have one passenger)! But I love my ranger!!!

kubota's are slow,my brother has had a rhino for 3-4 years & it has been great,no mechanical problems other than he ran a stob thru the radiator, the 4x4 stays engaged going down hills unlike the polaris system,i would have thought they would have changed that on the rangers but havent from what i have read,mike243

both have belts, honda has no belts,if i was getting 1 & knew a lot of water was involved it would be a honda or at least 1 without belts, the only down side i see is no low range with the honda, coarse it may not need it,mike243

Just get the Kawasaki Teryx. Great ground clearance, great power and speed, and comfy. Has a unique 4 wheel drive system that allows you to apply power to the front wheels a little at a time. Check them out, they are very nice.

I have not used a UTV except short trips on a Kubota and an older Kawasaki Mule.

However, in my law practice I do handle products liability cases. I subscribe to a list server for attorneys who handle those kinds of cases. I see more posts about rollovers on the Rhino than any other "top tier" UTV.

Search UTV rollovers in google and you will get lots of info. Not to say, however, I would not buy one just that I would include the products liability materials as part of any due diligence in a new $10,000 purchase.

Absolutely, that is a great point. But let's set aside the ID-10-T technology issues, which no one can truly design around, and let's assume some machines are designed safer than others. My thought is if you want to really critique the technology, let an attorney spend $50,000 on expert witnesses and see what they come up with on both sides of the issues. Sort of like the Ford rollover and Firestone tire litigation.

For some, safe is not the issue. Other considerations like speed, size, horsepower, tow capacity, etc., are more important than tendency to roll or have suspension failures. That's fine. I am just offering that there is a lot of critical analysis out there on the safety issues.

Rollover is an issue with any ATV/UTV that is driven incorrectly or without regard to surface conditions. My best friend is an ER doc, and he told me about all the ATV accidents they see on weekends. Then, he went with me one day and saw that I don't drive mine like a dragster. He told me, "Well, at the 4 mph you drive, you'll probably see anything coming long before it gets to you!" \:\)

Yep,, Ranger anyday.. You can stack those rhino's on top of a ranger and it will haul it around all day long. LOL.. Axles is weak in a rhino as well. I have seen many of them break and not even being hard on them.

we used to have a Ranger at a place that i worked at. i'll never ever even consider owning one. we have a Rhino at home and it's awesome. i know you guys don't agree but the Ranger we had was a major pos, may have just been that one but nonetheless Rhino trumps the Ranger 5 times over

My cousin bought this Ranger a couple months ago and I've been driving it on the farm ever since. It's nice and so far will take us anywhere on the farm our 4 wheelers would go except the tight places in the woods.

I've had several different brands of atv's, etc. I love my 700 xp ranger. We use ours EVERYDAY on the farm, not just a weekend warrior vehicle. We are hard on our atv's. Our ranger has never given us a problem.

rangers are good machines no doubt...just ribbing polaris owners a bit.......my rhino has been downright abused since new and I have put it thru some of the worst terrain in the state from steering wheel deep mud holes and creeks, flipped it twice, busted 3 axle boots, bottomed it out repeatedly on stumps, ripped the top of of it on trees, broke all my lights out,had it rammed by another 4-wheeler and moved on asphalt 5-6 feet sideways when a guy flipped coming out of a ditch and slammed into it,ran it with no rear brake pads for 3 months-only metal on metal, broke a belt at wide open throttle going downhill, filled the airbox with leaves and mud after swamping it,drowned out the cvt belt 4 times, broke 5 out of 12 bolts in my cvt housing, did performance upgrades that let the engine rev to 9k rpm's when stock cut-off is 7400,rammed a tree and pushed the front bumper into the front plastics, put one wheel on a tree and actually climb it till the rhino is straight up,have had the rear differential full of baby poop looking wmuddy water and ran it for weeks like that only to flush it out and start again.

anyway,i could go on all night, the point is that my rhino has withstood more abuse than ANY other atv I have ever owned and it will do it all from hauling to hunting to working to mudding.....and mine is a camo 450....my next atv will be a 700 fuel injected rhino......these machines are absolutely built like a tank.
