Can you use shorts? instead of longs? in the .22 rat shot wont kill them unless you are point blank...If you want a low kick shotshell take a .410

Rabbit doesn't open til November 8 this year.
As for squirrels, never found any worms on them even in the earliest parts of the season, they groom themselves frequently.
