they were blasting at the campground below the dam and got down to what they think is a cave about 300 feet below where they are and quit,,anybody know the truth or not to this and what they will have to do if it is there.

I thought this was a well known thingwith sinkholes and such causing the dam to be compromised. I might be wrong but I swear I heard this last year.

That's all they were talking about last year. Sinkholes here, sinkholes there.
Caves are everywhere.

I'm going to be below the dam for 4-5 hours tomorrow. We are looking for the chucawhatever thingie.
That whole hillside is riddled with caves and sinkholes. Be a good place to store nuclear waste.

I think one of the goals with storing nuclear waste is to find a place where there isn't a lot of seepage of water. That's kind of the opposite of the hillside in question, isn't it?

You should have seen them this morning. They had federal mine inspectors and spelunkers and 23 old men with beards and flat, round black hats walking around that hillside. My undercover partner, disquised as Stillunscrubbed, went to ask them what was going on by the time he came back, all he could talk about was going to Israel and seeing the wall.
Then his Johnson dropped off. I could have picked it out of the water but what the hey? I like Mercuries better.
Then Joel sold out to the the Caney Canoe Consortium and they named a sinkhole after Gil. I think they are calling it Gilholey for the Irish influence.

The Corps originally tried to just identify the different sinkholes by labeling each one with a specific letter.
Unfortunately, every time they mentioned the "Caney Fork A-Hole," everyone thought they were talking about Tubakka.
