I have been shooting blazer vains since i got my new bow, and i have liked how they held up compared to fletchings. My problem is, i had 2 vains rip in a 4 shot group today. These vains have not been shot 75 times, and look brand new.
Did i have a bad job done when they were put on, or is the whisker biscuit the source? Im really thinkin of changing to the new Octane rest from diamond. Its the one thats like the whisker biscuit, has anyone tried it?

I am also looking into the Octane. A friend of mine switched and he really is pleased with the performance. A new one will, but once you get some shots through it it is fine. As far as blazers go I have never had a problem with them through my whisker biscuit. Try a drop of glue in front of them if it makes you feel better.

I too have been hunting with the whisker biscuit since it has been out and I have had no problem. The blazer vanes should be no trouble shooting through it. You may have had a bad fletching job. Make sure your rest and knock are lined up right. I had a loop slip a couple of years ago and my fletching was actually hitting the mount. Of course it didn't take but about 2 shots to figure that out.

Properly setup, arrows fletched right with a drop of glue in front, you shouldn't have any problem.

The blazers are actually designed to work with the biscuit, they are stiff for the biscuit and to control broadheads....

Crinkle them a little but they still hit where they are supposed too.

I think im gonna go ahead and get a rip cord. My groups inside twenty yards are acceptable, but once i get to 25 and 30+ they just start getting scattered.
I'm not trying to talk you out of a ripcord, but I would recommend checking to see how well your bow is tuned before buying a new rest.
A lot of tuning and form problems can be seen past 30 yards that cannot be seen inside of 20 yards. FWIW

Throw that biscuit away and get a Ripcord.I shot a W.B. for years and finally came to the light of fall way rests. The Ripcord gave me my first Robinhood and unreal groups.

i think alot has to do with confidence, i glued up my fletchings, took a few days off, and went back out and shot today. Much better groups at twenty yards, and didnt move back to thirty. My quartering away groups were very excellent. I have always been satisfied with my biscuit, and i really havent practiced shooting past twenty yards before this year. Practice does make perfect so i will keep at it.
Now its just a decision on if i want to sight my bow in completely different(sticking with my muzzy's), or if i want to keep it close and buy some Rage two blades.
Any thoughts?

You can fine tune your setup and tune with broadheads . Here is a guide for group tuning broadheads . http://www.muzzy.com/muzzy_help/broadhead_tuning.htm
