After a lot of hemming and hawing I pulled the trigger on the new bow today.
After shooting about 3 dozen arrows through it, I ordered the Mathews DXT. It was a pleasure to shoot, I tried a few others but kept coming back to the DXT.
There were some package deals out there but this one kept calling me. I should have it in a week, had to order my draw length 28.5" in a left hand.

I have been wanting a new one as well. I sold my X3 thinking I was going to get a cross bow next. But then after talking to a lot of people, they pretty much scared me away from a cross bow. But that left me bowless and not even knowing where to start.
I shot the DXT the other day. Nice bow. Not worth its price tag IMO but I think that is the trend now days. Use to, a target bow in target colors would run $800-$1000 bare. While hunting bows in camo would run $500 or so. Now the daggum hunting bows are $800+.
Benton Shooters had the DXT for $749 and they were always the cheap ones around for Mathews bows. If that is the cheap price, I'd hate to know what they sale for else where. The new BowTechs were in the $800 range. The PSE X-Force series are in that same bracket. I can't afford that kinda money on a bow. Whew wee.

With tax included thats about what I payed, Had I been right handed I could have got the Drenalin 2007 Bow for $100.. less. Dickson Sportsman's store in Dickson Tn.
I hated to spend that too, but this will be my last bow, I really Liked it.
Haven't shot a bow in 4-5 years,picked this bow up and was shooting groups of three with a pattern were all arrow fletches touched. As you said the other name brands were all similar in price..
A friend is shooting grape fruit size pattern at 60-70 yards with it....

I want a DXT but spending that much cash for it, unless i get drawn for Presidents Island then i may reconsider. LOL
